“Character isn’t something you were born with and can’t change, like your fingerprints. It’s something you weren’t born with and must take responsibility for forming” ~Jim Rohn

Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, success, encouragement and stimulation.

The JDC is designed to assist in growing children’s development of character. We want to be a part of your child’s team as an enhancement, working with family, school, church and community.

The aim is to teach skills children can use in order to make informed decisions as well as utilize available resources.

Orange increases oxygen supply to the brain and stimulates mental activity. It is highly accepted among young people as it has a degree of youthful impulsiveness to it.

The expectation is that children will use the skills they have been taught and demonstrate them in their everyday living.

Curiosity is a driving characteristic of orange, and with it comes exploration of new things.

And when children are empowered, they can make a decision to utilize a skill to self-manage and regulate their thinking, feelings and behaviors. They also will be able to recognize when they need help and ask for it, using their team members as a resource. It is our belief that when children are able to do this we are on the road to growing healthy, well-rounded young adults.

Orange is the color of change between the heat of summer and the cool of winter.
