A More Excellent Way.
If you look closely, you will see the logo shape resembles that of the psychology symbol, psi – the 23rd letter of the Greek alphabet. Therefore, this division of A More Excellent Way is devoted to behavioral health and addiction counseling for individuals, families, couples and groups.
The color BROWN was chosen as it signifies stability, structure, support, steadfastness and dependability. It is reported that brown “engulfs one in a feeling of calmness and comfort. It is a practical and sensible color which implies common sense”. And although it is a color of structure, by no means does it encourage perfectionism, but rather encourages orderliness and organization.
BROWN and GREEN are identified as predominant colors on the planet. While brown is comforting and stabilizing, green is balancing and rejuvenating…which is just what we all need to help us deal with the stresses of life.

parents, children and youth turn from caterpillars into butterflies
As a division of A More Excellent Way, The R.O. Angel Project provides coaching, consultation and referrals for pre-need planning, advanced life planning, case management, social services, and a way to access legal assistance.
We prepare for all other major life events, such as the birth of a child, a wedding or a move, but “half of Americans don’t have any of the most basic estate planning documents, including a will, a living will, and financial and medical powers of attorney needed to protect them and their assets if they become incapacitated”
If you die without a will, the state will decide how your property is distributed
According to surveys, about half of Americans with children do not have a will
Only 32% of African American adults and 26% of Hispanic American adults have wills, compared to more than 52% of White Americans
There are only 16 states in which the living spouse inherits everything if there is not a will
“Bad things happen to the families of good people who die without a will”
There is nothing more devastating than to lose a loved one through death, physical or emotional incapacitation, health loss or military deployment. But what worsens the devastation is when you try to make arrangements, find papers, or make calls, and you don’t know where to start. Where is the insurance policy? Where are the keys? What people would they want to be contacted?
We want to encourage and support everyone to gain more clarity and insight on the need to be proactive in dealing with this very difficult topic. We want you to begin having...The Love TALK.
The color PINK was chosen for this project partially because, according to surveys, it is the color most commonly associated with politeness, intuitiveness, insightfulness, showing tenderness and kindness with empathy and sensitivity. It is a sign of HOPE, inspiring warm and comforting feelings giving a sense that everything will be okay. It relates to unconditional LOVE and UNDERSTANDING. It is the color of UNIVERSAL LOVE.
It has been said that love isn’t love until you give it away. It is our hope that you will have the conversation with your family, your friends, your loved ones and your professional team (healthcare providers, attorney, etc.). Write your wishes, your love notes, your thoughts in your LOVE Talk book and give it to them.
As a part of DRMcMullen Counseling & Consulting Services, we offer children the opportunity to participate in the JCD program designed to assist in the development of children's character.
The program is an extension of DRMCC therapy services that promotes self-development by giving children the opportunity to enhance their academic skills, recognize and build their talents and broaden their cultural awareness.
We want to be a part of your child’s team as an enhancement, working with family, school, church and community.

“Character isn’t something you were born with and can’t change, like your fingerprints.
It’s something you weren’t born with and must take responsibility for forming”
“Character building is about teaching students to interact positively with others, to make productive decisions, to learn to solve problems, to develop and show compassion, and to set immediate and life-long goals.”

Orange, Orange, Orange
increases oxygen supply to the brain and stimulates mental activity. It is highly accepted among young people as it has a degree of youthful impulsiveness to it.
represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, success, encouragement and stimulation.
is the color of change between the heat of summer and the cool of winter.
The aim is to teach skills children can use in order to make informed decisions as well as utilize available resources.
The expectation is that children will use the skills they have been taught and demonstrate them in their everyday living.
Curiosity is a driving characteristic of orange, and with it comes exploration of new things.
Watch your thoughts;
they become words.
Watch your words;
they become actions.
Watch your actions;
they become habits.
Watch your habits;
they become character.
Watch your character;
It becomes your destiny.
When children are empowered, they can make a decision to utilize a skill to self-manage and regulate their thinking, feelings and behaviors.
They also will be able to recognize when they need help and ask for it, using their team members as a resource.
It is our belief that when children are able to do this we are on the road to growing healthy, well-rounded young adults.
The Reason That I Travel
I am ready for a journey,
I know where my bags are
The destination is not decided,
But it won’t be by car!
I have completed all my therapy,
My LOVE TALK’s already done
The Juvenile Character Development,
Was attended by my daughter and my son.
Now it’s up to me to get ready,
To take a wonderful trip.
To wind down from all my issues,
That could make my mind slip.
I’m glad I can look forward,
I will no longer be frazzled,
Thank God I have a resource—
